When first starting the game, the sheer amount of information presented can be overwhelming, even for experienced gamers. The highly detailed instruction booklet is quite helpful in figuring out some of these details. The meat of the game is an entertaining hack-and-slash title, not unlike the Diablo or Dungeon Siege series, where the emphasis is simply on amassing an astonishing amount of gold and more and more weapons and armor.
While there is a main story thread throughout the title, because of the amount of quests (nearly 600), the narrative gets lost. Nonetheless, the massive amount of enemies to dispatch combined with all the weapons and magic you get to try throughout the game keeps the excitement levels high.
