IGN writes: "As opposed to the PC game, where players would click where they wanted their creature to walk, players have direct control of their avatar in Spore Hero. Movement is handled with the analog stick, you press A to jump, B to bite, and Z to block. Waggle controls are used to strike with your arms.
Visually, Spore Hero looks pretty good on Wii. The environments are colorful and reveal a good amount of detail, and the procedural animation seen in the PC game is in effect.
Spore Hero is aiming at a bit younger demographic than the original Spore did, but we were intrigued by what we saw. Look for this Wii exclusive later this year".

Game Observer: Since I don’t have a computer with the capability to run the original Spore game, I’ve been waiting with bated breath for the promised Wii version ever since the rumors first began.
The fact that it pitches the difficulty level appropriately ensures that newcomers won't be frustrated as to what to do next thanks to simple quests and a simple control system that always guides the player rather than confuses. It's just a shame that yet another title in the Spore franchise hasn't quite reached its potential.
I remeber when spore was first announce a wii version was also announced then it went the way of Black and white DS then now this. They better at least have one or two extra evolution game modes. otherwise it ain't spore.
