First Thoughts on 1 vs. 100

At their E3 2008 press briefing, Microsoft made the announcement of a new service--Xbox Live Primetime--that promised to bring scheduled gaming events to their Xbox Live service that would blend online gaming with the world of "primetime" television. It seemed like a rather interesting idea, but I wasn't completely sure of what real impact it was going to have in a market already crowded with lofty ideas and quirky gimmicks.

This will just be so popular, Microsoft timed this perfectly. With DLC being the new "norm" for games, so many people will hop on and try to compete to win some Microsoft Points so when map packs or addons come out, they have some "free" points to spend it on. This is going to be a lot of fun.
