New information on Funcom's upcoming Xbox 360/PC MMORPG, The Secret World, has been released. Scrawlfx give details on the story of the game as well as some of the game's main features.
Im actually looking forward to see how this game turns out.
I dont get how can journalists hype this game without more concrete infos , given Funcom's awful track record especially with AOC . I mean come on scrawl .... "it looks magnificient" ? Basé on a cgi trailer with no info or gameplay whatsoever ?
allthough im with you when its about unnecesary hype, BUT this is only a good round up about the info given sofar, there is really no need for your comment. There is a good amount of info about the game available.
They hype it up the same way they hype up any other game, Gears2, KZ2, MW2 etc. It's supposed to generate an interest in the article and game. It' useful to the gamer to have more facts in an article I agree.
I dont get how can journalists hype this game without more concrete infos , given Guerilla's awful track record especially with Killzone 1. I mean come on scrawl .... "it looks magnificient" ? Basé on a cgi trailer with no info or gameplay whatsoever? Just sayin'.
The last thing i wanted to do was start an argument with this article, I just really like the concept for the game and thought other people might too. And for all AOC's flaws, it received pretty favourable reviews from some big name sites. Its worth at least seeing what gets shown at E3 before writing this game off.
Lol @popinsky ... dear lord you never let go of your ps3 vendetta do you ? Difference with guerilla is one could argue they did ok with the psp killzone game , and KZ2's cgi trailer at least looked the best graphics possible . And they didnt promise the moon with a track record of two buggy mmo ... Besides many were wary actually of KZ2 because of the first one @Ghoul i find the info here quite vague actually . Pretty much all we know so far are it's set in a modern world (filled with monsters) and without a leveling system ... and yet some sites are already falling into the hype wagon so soon after aoc . @Marojado Yes AOC received good reviews , but let's not forget how many of those mostly talked about the first area of the game .. aka the only one not entirely buggy and unpolished back then . Otherwise the game is still getting a lot of backlash and critics , and hasnt yet fullfilled all of its promises. I'm not saying the game shouldnt be watched , but i'm not seeing any hint of caution toward funcom , despite everything , in any concerned article ... and instead seeing over-exagerated enthusiam out of nothingness
The article is from a month ago but i couldn't find an article on N4G that summarised everything as such so i thought people might be interested. Especially seeing as not many people have heard of this and its been announced for E3 :)
