Known for their other popular game Labyrinth which is also available for Android, Touchgrind allows you to skate any time, anywhere without getting thrashed. The intuitiveness of Touchgrind is fairly easy and it took me about 10 to 15 minutes to perfect my fingerboarding skills. The game uses multi-gesture finger controls in conjunction with a great physics engine in order to control the board. You can pull off just about every skateboarding trick including ollies, kickflips, heelflips, shuvits, 5-0, impossibles, boardslides, 50-50's, crooks, smithgrinds, tailslides, darkslides, and more.
Touchgrind features 12 unlockable boards which each have their own abilities and there are 3 different game modes: Warm Up, Jam Session, and Competition. The game also features a plethora of tutorial videos to help perfect your skillz as a skater. The game's graphics are incredibly smooth and the menu system with animations is totally awesome (you turn the skate wheel for the different options). Sound effects are also realistic and reflect the iPhone's controls. Other cool features of Touchgrind are it's board editor which allows you to customize the skateboard with your own photos from your phone, zoom out feature to see where you are in the park, ability to invert the kick turn of the board, and an online high score system.
