Samuli Syvähuoko's new studio Recoil Games begins work on action game for PS3, 360 and PC.
Remedy Entertainment co-founder Samuli Syvähuoko has left the Max Payne and Alan Wake dev to form new studio Recoil Games, and it's first project out the door will be an action game based on a brand new intellectual property.
An announcement on Recoil Games states it's mission is to create action games "with the scope, feel and ensemble cast of disaster movies. This is a large untapped area of the industry and Recoil plans to lead the way with its innovative Cinegames design techniques."
It adds that these games "will feature huge stories, and require a large ensemble cast-often working together-to solve the many varied challenges, including internal human conflict, another area mostly overlooked in today's action games."
