IGN: Fallout 3: Broken Steel Review

Lifting the level cap breathes new life into a great game, but shouldn't totally overshadow a new series of quests that is a lot of fun. By extending the game beyond the main quest, Bethesda has delivered exactly what the fans have been asking for. Broken Steel offers more than enough reasons to justify the 800 Microsoft point price tag.

For any Fallout3 fan this is a definite buy.

I have to say the level cap being raised opened a whole new world for me.

I loved Broken Steel. A lot better than Operation Anchorage and The Pitt, not only for the Level 30 cap and perks, but the missions are great too.

Also add to the fact that it also makes the game harder after you finish Broken Steel, with throwing in the harder enemies of the Super Mutant Masters (not to hard), and the Feral Ghoul Reapers (OMFG....what do you have to do to kill these things!?)

Great package overall!

Wish this was on ps3, I'm currently making my way through the game for the second time (no mercy for Megaton this time around!).

I blew up Megaton, the first time through, and then killed everybody in Tenpenny Tower.

And of course Skyrim's Dawngaurd DLC isn't in the mix...

TrendyGamers4301d ago

Most people have all this DLC already.

Dang, got excited there for a second. Then I realized that I've already played through all the FO3 add-ons, I just bought the Oblivion GOTY edition yesterday, and Dawnguard last week.
