Six Xbox 360 Games I shouldn't have sold (and 5 I shouldn't have played)

Rikki Grimes from the knights of gaming writes: We all make mistakes. For me, walking through the used games section of a video game store is like walking into a class reunion and bumping into some long lost friends. Sometimes seeing a game will make me cringe, embarrassed that I ever spent time with such a stinker. Other times I linger, wondering, "What the hell was I thinking? Why did I give you up?" Here's a list of 6 mistakes that I made in my game trading past.

EDF came out before the PS3. There wasn't that many games out back then. Lots of people played it because they wanted something new to play.

Hey, hey, incredible game, still hope they make a sequel with Palewing from the second PS2 EDF game with online play. EDF rocks, made me go an scout out the PS2 originals too. One of the rare 360 exclusives I'd like to set foot on PS3.

Oblivion,I did rebuy for Ps3 but couldn't get back into it,I have been tempted getting it a third time.

Dead rising,I had lots of hardware failures in the first year (and one last week) and I'd had enough, but I wish I'd kept it,I still play the 10 minute demo every so often.

I went through lots of games during that launch period, and it was bleak, lucky I was able to abuse games policy of return a game after a week and get a full refund,Must of gone through 30 or so games fo 50 quid :),but my final choice is Kameo,
Before the 360 my main consoles were nintendo systems, and I was really looking forward to this on the cube, and being a rare fan since the ultimate days,I was quite hyped. But I found it really boring, and not like the rare I knew,so I got rid after a couple of days.
A part of me wishes I'd played on,in hope of finding that rare magic.

EDF is a great game. It's simple - get some guns and shoot lots of giant ants/spinders, practicallly levelling an entire city in the process, what more do you want? It's pick up and play fun at its very best!
Perhaps it'd be better suited to XBLA, but its still a fun game. The achievements are a pain, though.

6360 games must cost a lot of money

Timesplitter145883d ago

ok before people get confused, the original title said "6 360 games I shouldn't have sold"

Earth Defense Force 2017

that game hard as f1ck.

The boss where you fight against The giant Robots Shooting that big Laser near the beach is Ridiculously hard.

zoneofenders5883d ago

this game has some sort of strange fame in japan thanks to niconicodouga.

Eiffel5883d ago

A friend of mine brought it over and we played it, although still laughing at the complete random combat along the way. Good 2 player Co-op game.

ChampIDC5883d ago

EDF is a great game for those times when you don't want to think about anything. It's a great game for mindless destruction.

It can definitely be hard. The game pretty much expects you to start on easy and work your way up, but starting on normal is possible if you play smart. Starting any higher than normal is flat out impossible. Good weapons are a necessity.

Aloren5882d ago

That game was strangely addictive, and actually required strategy in higher difficulty modes.
Though the mission you're talking about is not ridiculously hard, did you finish the game ? that one was actually fairly "easy".... I do agree this game can get ridiculously hard though, the few last missions on inferno were insane.

it's time for 360 owners to meet buddha

N2NOther5883d ago

Maybe they kicked him out of the RV2 rooms because he sucked. When I played we generally didn't kick people that contributed to winning.

Give us FO3 with all the dlc remastered like ESO. Load times faster, quality of life improvements, gun play improvements

I believe it shouldn't just be graphical they should make improvements where they can to make the game better. A simple face lift isn't what's needed

ZeekQuattro50d ago

Still my favorite one. I remember getting a digital copy of FO3 when I got FO4(XBO). It was nice to finally play a stable version of the game. Then when I got a Series S it was an even better expierence. Quick resume and FPS boost made it feel like a whole new game. Updated gunplay would be very welcome though. One of the few things FO4 did better.

New Vegas and Morrowind should have been first!

Christopher58d ago

Fairly certain we all know that New Vegas isn't getting anything because it's not a Bethesda developed game.

OMGitzThatGuy58d ago

MS owns both devs, if they want it, a 3rd party will make it.

Christopher57d ago

***MS owns both devs, if they want it, a 3rd party will make it. ***

I think the issue is that it's not a Bethesda developed game, not that MS owns both. This is more about Todd.

RaidenBlack57d ago (Edited 57d ago )

Yep ... Todd doesn't like getting bettered within his own IP scope.
I still think of the Elder Scrolls spin-off Obsidian pitched similar to New Vegas, but Todd rejected.

RaidenBlack57d ago (Edited 57d ago )

Replayed NV more than FO3 ... so I appreciate the FO3 remaster more.
For NV, I'd much prefer a sequel or a spinoff from Obsidian.

FTLmaster58d ago

Got a soft spot for Fallout 3, so I'd be down to play this.

-Foxtrot58d ago

It's crazy New Vegas wasn't worked on first to launch alongside Fallout Season 2.

They could have added all the cut content they had planned but didn't have enough development time to add, possibly even expand on it a little more. For example, have the Vegas strip as one big hub over being chopped into smaller sections we have to keep loading into.

neutralgamer199257d ago

Would love a complete remake or sequel with enough resources

Abnor_Mal58d ago

The only Fallout game I’ve played, PS3 had to keep stopping every few minutes to save. Next thing I knew the credits were rolling and I never did any side quest. I never replayed the game because of all the bugs the game had.

Yui_Suzumiya57d ago (Edited 57d ago )

I've played Fallout 3 more than any game. I lost count many years ago of how many times I finished it. It was my first Platinum trophy. But yeah, it was buggy on PS3 at launch before it got properly patched.

anast58d ago

They are only remaking their games that have been streamlined.
