Rumour: Konami working on exclusive Xbox 360 title

Norihiko Hibino's company website also hints at a new Konami title in development exclusively for the Xbox 360.

After previously providing a Grasshopper/PlayStation 3 rumour, Metal Gear Solid composer Norihiko Hibino's company website also reveals a new Konami title for the Xbox 360.

Listed in GEN Impact's 2009 projects, the untitled Konami game is said to have earnt Hibino-san's talent for its music and sound effects.

I did love the 1st MGS it was something very different and new at the time. However its really has been anything but basically more of the same or maybe I should say less of the same. The story of game that everyone rants about is awful its like a really bad anime the voice acting isnt much better (noted video game over all have bad voice acting). The gameplay is slooooooow and boring its slow down even more by the story of the game. The graphics ever good but they were nothing special.

What are you talking about, Fox God? Hibino did the music for the very game AznSniper just mentioned, Otomedius G, the obscure Japan-only sidescrolling shooter for the Xbox 360. He does music for all kinds of projects, not just big-name ones. It's likely that he's just doing the music for another sidescrolling shooter, possibly of the Otomedius franchise once again.

The only ones I see that say Xbox owners want it seems to be PS3 owners. Metal Gear on the Xbox 360 today would be a non-factor since the hype surrounding the game is long dead. Timed exclusives can kill any game if the time between releases is substantial unless the game is somehow changed like Sigma. Even then sales numbers aren't going to be close to the original's release. Devs that support multi-platform know that they need to release a title as close as possible to get the most bang for the marketing buck.

I got MGS4 a little over a month ago. I hadn't played any MGS since the first one on PS1 and I didn't have a PS2 (I had a Dreamcast and then went to a series of PC MMO's.)

The voice acting for MGS4 definitely was good....for a video game it was great.

As far as the story was concerned, the story was a mess. It was all over the place. If you want to say the story was stupid, I wouldn't hold that against you.

But somehow, the game was touching. It conveyed the protagonists emotions quite well. I finished the game and left it quite confused, but I was definitely touched by the experience. Few games have been able to accomplish that.

the only way to fully understand the story is to play all the canon games in the MGS series dating all the way back to the original metal gear on the nes. try dl'ing the MGS database from the PS store to get a clearer picture

If you all believe to that site (that is never 100% correct), then it means that we Playslaves will get a new flaming Grasshopper exclusive, so, yes, you 360ers can even get a new Konami exclusive, at least you'll have something to play with and you won't have to cry on the dust collected on your disc-scratching/house burning machine.
Then, after your beta-test we will get the better version.
