Exclusive PS3 themes and wallpapers

High Def Geek have created a variety of exclusive themes and wallpapers for the Playstation 3. These won't be found on the Playstation Network at all. Registration is not required for the site, so you can just browse and download the theme that you like. Registration does have its benefits, though...you can make suggestions to the designers for customised themes, and take part in some discussions!

The theme section is still in its infancy, but there are some good ones on there, and with a bit of community interaction and suggestions, there is potential for a good library of themes.

Yeah,you can download with Ps3 browser
highlight the download link
press triangle for the menu and choose file
Save target as,then select HDD,or Ipod,SD card external HDD,whatever you got connected.

if you want pictures,highlight any image and follow the above steps,then Save image.

If you want Podcasts it's the same as videos,you cant go on Itunes but any direct download,I get Warzone,Full moon show,whaterver really.

I download vids from gamersyde,Gtrailers,I've even had full divx movies,I get images from IGN then set them s my wallpaperthe Ps3 browser is ace.

A few other tips for you.

If you want to copy and paste text

Hold down X and drag along the text
Let go and you get copy,search puts the text into the google search engine found on the xmb.
paste,bring up the keyboard and under the prediction box you get the paste button.
click it and you get a list of what you've copied,not sure how many it stores,but I've had over 6 different pages and links.If you want you can pate the links into a Psn message

High Def Geek will be updating the themes weekly, and it would be a good place to post if you have some artwork of your own that you want to show off.

I collect a lot of wallpapers.
Some of these wallpapers come from other sources.
I'm not sure how some of their makers would feel about having their names removed and a "highdefgeek.com" label slapped on them.
And if they did not watermark their work, yet the person putting them up on your site still got them from another place and did not make them themselves, sticking your watermark on them is still not justified.

Sharing wallpapers is great, but take credit when it's your own work, and not somebody elses.

I think that you will actually find, having spoken to the owner of HighDefGeek, that the image you refer to is a royalty free one that the site owner bought a while back. He PAID for it (10 years ago actually) to be used commercially however he saw fit. Yes he didn't create it, just like he couldn't have created the more adult wallpapers, but your source didn't create it either.

Unfortunately custom themes don't have access to the "waves" in the xmb background. I would like to see more moving backgrounds. Until that happens I probably won't ever use the custom themes options. Hope they unlock that in the future.
