Christos Reid writes: "Today a German man was accused of stabbing a British fellow eighty-four times, and it's been blamed on Advance Wars: a game that contains no scenario in which you commit homicide in a flat in Nottingham.

In this week's Plot Wholes, I'd like to analyse my own gamer psychology - and that of other gamers - to discover why we're so shocked by crime in real life, but so willing to commit it in games, and why the press keeps stereotyping gamers as mentally unstable when we can view war, death and rape on the daily news more easily than by playing GTA IV."
