SEGA Europe Ltd., and SEGA of America, Inc., today announced Wacky World of Sports, an outrageous new sports game exclusively for the home videogame system, Wii. Wacky World of Sports brings some of the worlds most obscure sports to the videogame world for the first time, and will hit stores late 2009.
DGS-Online writes: ""Why so serious?" Sega will have wondered before the next load playful mini games on the Wii let go. Why run or shot put if you can ironing clothes during free fall, or tuna can throw?"
TGS writes: "With the amount of Wii Sports clones already chipping in on Nintendo's success, it's easy to find yourself ignoring a large chunk of releases for being nothing more than shovelware. They fill shelves that should be filled with better games, they spend more weeks in the charts than they're worth and they sell a hell of a lot better than many other more worthy titles. So why should you even begin to care about Wacky World of Sports?"
It's not a game that will keep you playing for hours, and it certainly won't be a chart topper. Once again, the low price will be the only selling point, mainly for parents whose children have noticed the colourful and eye-catching front cover. If mini games are what you enjoy, then it is worth a rental.
