"The RC is up for grabs on torrents"

It is actually. Just look for the 7100 build, that should be the latest.

Careful where you install W7 though(I suggest dual-booting), the drivers aren't as stable as Vista's when it comes to playing games(at least in my experience).

The drivers should be fine. Windows 7's display driver model is an upgraded version of that found in Vista--from WDDM 1.0 to WDDM 1.1. Vista had so many problems with graphics drivers early in its life because Microsoft overhauled the graphics driver foundation for Vista. But now that drivers have matured, everything should hopefully work just fine.

Yes and anyone planning on buying vista, don't bother - wait the few extra months for windows 7. I've been using one of the beta builds since it came out a few months back as my main operating system and it is so much quicker and efficient than vista.

Anyone know how long the RC client will be valid for until they want you to buy a real version of windows 7? Also is there a confirmed release date yet (month) ?

That's all nice but how much will it cost people to get it? Will there be any deals for those people who just bought a new Computer? More answered questions would be good. I guess we shall know in the coming week.

I do believe the RC is free
