IGN: Air Conflicts: Aces of World War II Review

The biggest problem is just that none of what Air Conflicts offers is fun. Sure, there's a lot of stuff to do (well, as far as flying around and shooting has to offer), but the prohibitive load times and lack of punch to any of the combat leaves it all feeling incredibly droll instead of being an engaging series of midair clashes. Here's a case where the opening moments are just as true in the first minute as they are in first hour (which, fittingly, will be filled more with staring at loading screens than actually flying around). Take the game's hint: skip this one or be doomed to staring at the Air Combat logo while waiting to hop into the pilot's seat.

IGN like always is giving a game the odd score out in comparison to other reviewers.

GamersTemple Review: Air Conflicts: Aces of World War II

GT writes: "Air Conflict: Aces of World War II has earned a few distinctions in the annals of PSP gaming. The first is that it's the first straight PC to PSP game port I've ever played, and I imagine the first to appear on the system. Unfortunately, the developers didn't bother to compensate for the difference in screen size between the typical PC monitor and the PSP's screen."

BuzzFocus: Air Conflicts: Aces of World War II Review

Air Conflicts is a fun game when it comes to dogfighting. Just understand that it's not your eyesight that's bad, it's the size of the targets on the tiny PSP screen. Bombing missions are incredibly difficult and missions could benefit from added variety.
