Xbox 360 owners buying fewer games this year?

"I just can't imagine why games like Ninja Blade and Halo Wars would not sell that much. I do admit it has been a slow year thus far for Microsoft but as I mentioned before it looks like the company is building up its arsenal for 2010. It really has been a while since I purchased a retail game for my Xbox 360. I really don't have any complaints playing my six month old Gears of War 2 from time to time because its just that awesome."

... that I would want to buy.

Ninja Blade wasn;t received that positively (just so-so), and Halo Wars I'm not sure how that was received, so that already tells you something about the marketing etc.

There have been a few nice multi-platform games released, like SF4 and Resident Evil 5, but I'm guessing those are more for a specific audience.

Also, with all the DLC-scamming going on, I wouldn't be surprised if more and more people are choosing to mod their 360 so they can just download their games, instead of paying full-price for them and then seeing content online they will have to pay extra for...

Didn't Microsoft mention, yesterday in their press release that their attach rate has gone up?

One word: "Killzowned"
Seriously, after the Killzone 2 fiasco, PS3 fanboy blogs shouldn't write articles about Xbox360 owners buying games at all. It's just wrong.
