Ex-student guilty of murder in PlayStation dispute

A former Fresno State student was convicted this afternoon of fatally shooting of a 19-year-old man and wounding two others in a dispute over a Sony PlayStation 2 in May 2007.
Jurors in Fresno County Superior Court found Jonquel Brooks guilty of first-degree murder in the slaying of Brant Daniels, who was gunned down at an apartment complex just west of the California State University Fresno campus.
He also was convicted of attempting to murder Daniels' friends - Roderick Buycks Jr., Drew Pfeiff and Kodi Shiflett. Buycks was shot in the neck and Pfeiff was shot in the shoulder.
