As users of both the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 enjoy their respective platform of choice, it has become apparent today that it is harder to argue which platform offers the better gaming experience. Just recently as I visited a local Gamestop looking around for a different game for both my Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, I realized that it was rather difficult to see a distinction between the two platform game offerings.
From the mid-1980s to the early part of the 2000s, light gun rail shooters were a staple in both arcade and home system gaming. Arguably, the genre started to really hit its stride in the mid-1990s. While games like Time Crisis, Virtual Cop, and House of the Dead, among others, dominated both the home system and arcade space, some one relegated to only home game systems. Today, we’ll be talking about a little-known cult game published by Sony called Project: Horned Owl. This game was developed by Alfa Systems, and all in all, this is a fun game.
Game Rant interviews Plants vs. Zombies composer Peter McConnell about honoring the series’ quirky roots, adapting its themes, and now going vinyl.
The score for the first Plants Vs Zombies is such great, iconic music that it has a timeless quality. Not quite the level of Minecraft, but wonderful in its own right.
Celebrate Final Fantasy IX's 25th anniversary with the latest merchandise, including figurines of Zidane and Vivi, and a range of t-shirts.
i dont really care, as long as the games are good and the graphics are nice to look at.
Its still ALL ABOUT THE GAMES....for most of us anyway;)
1-Ps3 games have much better Graphics and Audio,Xbox live is much more unified than the PSN.This is the biggest difference I see,if you want the best HD graphics out there-you go with the Ps3.If you want the best Online out there, you go with Xbox Live. You do of course have to pay for Xbox Live, but this isn't an issue if you bought the console specifically for Online gaming.
2-The XMB is quick and responsive, the NXE on the other hand is truly the worst decision since the HD-DVD add-on;It's slow, buggy, and full of Ads.512MB of Ram is not enough for all the glossy-drop shadow-photoshop effects used in it.
3-Lastly,the controller.I choose to buy most of my Multiplat-form games on the Ps3 due to the Dualshock 3,the Controller just excels across all genres of games out there. The 360 controller, while being the best for Shooters, just doesn't do so well in other genres.
Maybe my hands need to be the size of Hagrid in order to truly appreciate the 360 controller.
I own both, and each gives me something different. Each has it's own unique qualities.
I would be hard pressed to choose which one is my favorite one!!!
I like GT and Forza
I don't like either Killzone or Halo
I like my free psn, as much as I like my $50 XCL account.
It's like a gaming threesome sandwich, and I'm the meat in the middle!!!!
Both give their own kind of experience.
The experience for me is in the exclusive games of each console.
I have to admit I greatly prefer my PS3 over my 360 in every aspect (I much prefer it as my media centre for my big TV and I like more of the PS3 exclusives) but in terms of gaming they both have some great exclusive games that deliver a great experience that I have enjoyed very much on each console thus far and long may that continue!
