I work there and the reason they're doing this sale is cuz they wanna get rid of most of their old games to make room for the new ones since it's around inventory time. So the games on that list are clearance games aka games that didn't sell, which means the 360 had more games shipped that didn't sell lol.

Or you could just say that 360 has proportionally more games instead of trying to paint that as a negative for 360. Most of the multiplatform games there are on both platforms, and I see plenty of multiplats on PS3 that curiously don't show up on 360's list...

I could say the 360 has proportionally more games, but that would be a lie. Why is the 360's list longer? MS absolutely floods the market with their games when they come out. I'm talking like a 5:1 ratio of 360 multiplats to PS3 multiplats shipped, even tho they sell the same lol. More leftovers=more clearance games.

Quantum...no.

Lost Planet...maybe. It has a mandatory 5 GB install, "meh" graphics (especially compared to the PC/360 version), and a pretty shallow storyline.

Then again...it costs about 7 bucks to rent it anyway.

While we can all find a title or two (or three or four) to fill in the gaps in our collection, by the time we get to the store, all the good ones will be gone. Best Buy is infamous for having plenty of new releases and empty spaces behind the little alphabetical markers of older titles. I would suggest anybody check store availability online before getting to BB and being disappointed. But you better race over there and grab it fast before somebody else does if you see it in stock! They may only have one in stock. In my case, most densely populated county in the state of FL, I'm only 10 miles away from the store but it takes a minimum of 30 minutes to get there. Yet, Best Buy has built stores in rural farm areas that were expected to build out before the housing burst. Yet they ignore my cries to build a store less than 30 minutes away. They keep telling me I have a store 10 miles away. "Yes, but it is a minimum 30 minute drive in this traffic." We go round and round. I can get to the store 24.9 miles away in the same amount of time!

Can I get the Geek Squad to deliver my game? They aren't really good for anything else.

very easy way to get around this, allow me to introduce you to my Black Friday method........75% of the time, it works 97% of the time. Anyhoo....someday before Sunday, just go to the website and order the games you want with in-store pick up. Come Sunday, if the sale is actually legit...just go to the store and pick up your items, and Best Buy will adjust the price at time of check-out. You get the nice parking spot at the front of the store and you don't have to get caught up in the traffic...should this not be legit, you just cancel the order. Of course all this is contingent on the belief you have money in your account to cover the current selling price.

I thought because thats goes against their Best Buy policy. Spoke to another manager from another store and they have no choice but to give you the credit. SO buy early.

I found that some games that are not listed will be on sale and they are marked with a yellow Best buy circle sticker. I was told the Quantum of Solice(SE), the one with a free tshirt, is on sale not the regular version. Doesn't make sense but hey you get the game and shirt for $10..
