Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time Action Figure Lineup Revealed

Kombo writes: A few weeks ago, we informed you of a sneak peek at DC Direct's upcoming line of Ratchet & Clank action figures. Now, the line has been officially announced with a few details.

The figures won't be on sale until December 2nd, 2009, but are going to be based on the upcoming title in the series, Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time. Since that's not due until the Fall, perhaps it won't seem like as much of a wait by then.

Random interesting ratchet facts

Ratchets voice actor does Tidus voice in Dissidia: Final Fantasy and FF X and does Johnny Test on cartoon network.

Clanks voice actor did Nathen Hale in resistance 2 and is scarecrow in the new Batman: Arkham Asylum.

Captain Quark voice actor also did voices in all the Destroy all human games and was Jack Krauser in Resident Evil 4

Dr. Nefarious voice actor was Quark the bartender in Star Trek DS9 also was Andrew Ryan in Bioshock and was General Skarr in The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy

Also the Plummer in the first 3 or 4 games is the Janitor from Scrubs.

Yeah these are cool. And it's about time Sony did some cross-marketing involving their gaming properties to raise the awareness and get people caring about them. Hopefully they mass produce these and they're not difficult to find in stores. If they're marketed well, it'll work jointly as marketing for the game too!

Not even as close to being milked as Halo, Like Halo has its own Board game.

Anyway, I might pick this up. Hope, there will be a special figure for the Collector's Edition if there is one.

If they really wanna take the franchise and make it a household name they should make an animated series for it or maybe a movie.
I think it can be done really well and could be really great.

I mean there are a lot worst things on TV and cinema these days that pass off as entertainment.
