Games Xtreme: "Every so often I am dragged back to it. I love it, I enjoy it and then, once again, I give up in frustration of not being able to get somewhere because the camera changes mid-jump. Games like that belong firmly in the last century. Let us hope that the developers learn from this and start paying attention to the things gamers object to the most – a wonderful game with poor playability."

I say miniature as it is played out from a 3-inch high perspective with some really original characters and themes that make for good eye candy throughout the game. The whole world is intriguing as you set out on your adventure playing through gardens, grass, logs, trees and pipes, and over tabletops, sinks, toilets and other household objects. When playing you really do get the feeling you have been shrunk and sucked into the world from a Mushrooms perspective."

GDN Review: Mushroom Men - The Spore Wars

GDN: "Meet Pax, in his world a big meteorite just fell from the sky and changed his world as he once knew it, us humans knew nothing about it and our world carries on as normal. Pax is from a friendly fungi tribe who live in happiness but since the great shining rock landed the more poisonous of the shrooms threaten the very existence of Pax's edible friends and family. Since the meteorite landed Pax discovered that he can absorb parts of the mysterious rock and sets off to find out what's happening to him much to the disgust of his enemies."
