Different reports are rolling in from every side of things -- the launch is a failure, the launch is a success, the lunch is scheduled for 12:30PM, the dinner is undetermined, the dryer is too loud, the launch is a nail on Sony's coffin, it's too hot in here... you get the idea. Don't you? Well, here's the launch from UK retailer GAME's point of view.
While the mainstream media always sees things turning in favor of the hero, here are 6 games that own being a bad guy.
Video games are no longer just a simple past time. Today's games are evolving into true works of art. Offering intriguing narratives, cinematic setpieces, and profound messages, games can entertain us for hundreds of hours.
I never got around to mass effect - I’m skeptical that it would hold up if I were to try it now
Originally launched in 2011, El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron is coming to Nintendo Switch, so It's time to look back at the original.
Still have my ps3 copies. Bought it at launch and another one when I found it cheap and in perfect condition about 10 years ago. I wouldn’t buy it on Switch but if they made a PS5 version I would. I still have one of my PS3 Fats hooked up so good to go either way.
Id play it again on the switch. I wished my 360 version was bc but this is still a good way to play.
The lame author tries to defend his title; "The launch is stronger because Sony came well-prepared with a plethora of units to fulfill everyone's wish who wants a PlayStation 3."
The point is; Supply & Demand. Sony has the Supply because there is NOT much of Demand. They could've brought enough PS3s for everyone in the UK to have 2 each but not that many are excited enough to want one.
But even if Demand was high, they should have more than enough still as the ORIGINAL launch date was Spring 2006. While they were having BR diode problems, I'm sure they were still stock-piling the rest of the parts.
on Shikwan's part. They supplied a million consoles for the European launch, so obviously Sony did something right. It's better to have enough consoles for everyone rather than choke retailers with too few units and thus lose potential customers in the process.
"even if Demand was high, they should have more than enough still as the ORIGINAL launch date was Spring 2006"
Yeah, they should totally have like 4 million units lying around from April 2006, even though the hardware wasn't even finalized until May...wait, what?? Oh, that's right. You can't stock pile parts until you know what the hell you're building. They didn't stop adjusting the design of the PS3 until September 2006; that doesn't leave much time for conspiracy theories.
the empty/ broken promises that this compayn has "tossed" around regarding the PS3 is down right outrageous!....Like I do agree shikwan
"You can't stock pile parts until you know what the hell you're building." When Ken was toting around that empty shell back in E3 05, he was lying about the MAJOR parts it would have AND the release date?"
Enough said regarding this topic.
wait till next to the #'s
Forget every article on here! This launch was a huge success...and didn't sell out yet because of the number of systems available and the wii has been there for quite some time. I don't think the 360's much of a threat to them in the UK...it probably never will be. WOOHOO!
