While much of this can be addressed in a patch update, the missing content cannot, and if added will most likely appear as DLC. That’s a shame, because to take a previously-existing racing game and then slice it up into bits makes no sense at all. Even if Sega had to release the game at a higher price point, but with all features included, it would have made for a much more acceptable product.

When you take into consideration the breadth and scope of Criterion’s continually updated free content that they keep adding to their dramatically superior and modern arcade-style racer, Burnout Paradise, it only reinforces the old adage "you get what you pay for." Make no mistake, what’s offered in Outrun Arcade Online is brilliant, addictive fun, but it could have definitely offered more.
