Several Japanese gaming websites are reporting that Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete managed to shift an impressive 100,000 copies in its first day on sale.
Advent Children Complete launched this week in various forms. The movie could be bought standalone, in a slightly more expensive special edition which included a demo of Final Fantasy XIII and in a bundle with a 'Cloud Black' PS3 console.
Needless to say, sales of 100,000 in Japan alone for the extended High Def cut of the movie is quite impressive - though it has to be asked - how many of those were imported by salivating FF Western FF fans desperate for the FF13 demo?

Now Square put some games on the PS3 will you
That's it?
Well, those are probably sold to retailers and not to the end user blah blah blah.
anything less that a million is laughable.
I guess this just isn't as popular as the Sony loyalists would have you believe!
I thought pre orders were well over 2 million. LOL Sony.
I'll give it 2 more days to reach 1 million and then I'll label it a FLOP!
Yadda yadda yadda

On a serious note: Well done and well deserved.
wow wtf 100k for a fkin movie and demo thats amazing by the time it comes out for 360, ps3's ff would have sold to many already plus who the fk wants a 6 or 7 disk game lol its not even worth downloading for people who have modded 360's haha
"how many of those were imported by salivating FF Western FF fans desperate for the FF13 demo?"
Um...duh? I seriously considered spending 70 bucks on that movie because of the demo, and if the movie had English subs I would've done it in a second (can't stand the English VO's). I just hope Square sees this as the wake-up call it is.
I'm genuinely excited for the movie itself, not really the demo. It's a fun bit of entertaining fan service, and the new scenes look to flesh it out nicely. Can't wait!
