Exent Technologies and Indiagames today announced the finalization of a deal to bring games-on-demand to India. This service will target more than 100,000 Internet cafes spread across the sub-continent. Some of the titles to be included in this service are Age of Empires II, Toca Race Driver 3 and Flight Simulator.
"India's game market is saturated with pirated titles," said Vishal Gondal, CEO, Indiagames. "Our service will expand the legitimate online games market and increase broadband market penetration by offering a first-class user experience and a high-quality package of games at an unparalleled price. This is a first of its kind service in India and is bound to expand the games category beyond its limited traditional audience."
"Our partnership with Indiagames is an opportunity to align with an experienced company in a region where we expect to see tremendous growth in the coming years," said Zvi Levgoren, CEO, Exent. "India represents a compelling opportunity and is part of our strategy to expand into the Asian market with a combined free ad-supported and attractively priced premium subscription offering. We believe such a combined offer could become an attractive, legal usage model in contrast to the rampant piracy."
