Why are people crying about this game?? It looks like any other shooter. Just cause its based in Modern real events?? Thats dumb (IMO). Anyone agree?

JeffGUNZ5920d ago (Edited 5920d ago )

Yes, I do. I also think this game is going to turn out awful. I think Treyark, or however you spell their name should think of doing a real-life Iraq game. If they go to "Modern Warfare" theme, they will just be laughed at because infinity ward owns the modern style. They should shoot for real-life current battles in Iraq and Afghanistan. That would be cool.

Imagine a battle happened in Iraq and a month later, THAT battle was release for DLC, to keep the war current. It would be like a real-life, up to date war shooter, which would be interesting and original.

The problem is the war that makes the scenario.

You don't see WW2 veterans moan and whine when companies make all these WW2 games. You don't see Vietnam war vets moan and whine when developers mad Vietnam war games.

See, these same whiners about this being about the iraqi war are probably the SAME people that played millions of hours of games like Call of Duty and Brothers in Arms. So them crying would make them hypocrites.

So basically, I agree with Delta's post

"You don't see WW2 veterans moan and whine when companies make all these WW2 games"
That is because on that war it was half of the world fighting against the Axis. Remember The Nazis? Hello

"You don't see Vietnam war vets moan and whine when developers mad Vietnam war games"
-Yes a lot of people protest and gamers are not interested in those scenarios

But this one is too close and the reality is that in Falluja The US committed genocide and tested new Chemical weapons knowing about the presence of Civilians. But of course CNN, Fox and many others are not going to talk about it. Search on youtube about Fallujah genocide. And ask anyone that participate on it.

"That is because on that war it was half of the world fighting against the Axis. Remember The Nazis? Hello "

You're missing the point. That's not the even issue. The issue is that ANY veterans of previous was have an equal gripe, yet they don't complain

And what makes you think this is the first time the US committed genocide. If you know your history, the U.S. experimented with chemical warfare on their OWN soldiers during the Vietnam war. Ever heard of Agent Orange?

So no, this one isn't ANY "closer to home" than past wars.

XLiveGamer5920d ago (Edited 5920d ago )

Hey what i meant about closer its RECENT YEARS. And i know about Agent Orange on Vietnam but this time in Fallujah they did it against "civilians" = Adults & "KIDS"
