PC Mag: "Netbooks rule when it comes to price, portability, and energy savings, but lack when it comes to performance. That's where more powerful compact laptops step in.
In recent months, netbooks have garnered a lot of attention, and deservedly so. These tiny, inexpensive, underpowered laptops (with screens up to 12 inches, though most are only 10 inches) seem tailor-made for the Not-So-Great Depression we find ourselves in. With prices in some cases dipping below $400, they flew off the shelves this past holiday season-at least relative to more conventional laptops. These tiny wonders will enable millions of computer users to get online or keep up with correspondence while on the road, and will serve as second computers in millions of homes. Who wouldn't want one?"
