pretty sure GT5 and persona 4 were/are gonna be blockbusters.

it's not meant to spur more sales, it's meant to stop the steady decline in sales.

I've never had a PS2 and really want one now but no price drop in UK :(
There are so many games I wana play that I've missed out on.

Anyone know if the price will be dropped in the UK any time soon?

stopping the steady decline is spurring new sales?!?

One cannot stop a steady decline in sales without spurring new sales. In the end, Sony will gain sales due to the price drop and the PS2 will end on a good note in the comming months ahead.

Now, if they really wanted to make the system sell like hot cakes, they should have added some sort of Waggle controller and bundled it with a Wii Sports clone developed by EA.

I thought people were joking when they said we were going to see "PS2 is teh doomed" articles.

O! and I thought people were joking when they said that we would see "PS2 is doomed" articles

Well funny thing is plenty core gamer actually care about the ps2 ... at the very least very hardcore jrpg fans .

This is why ps3 needs bring back backwards compatibility people are not buying the ps2 because they already have two or three systems or wait it for ps3 to come out start getting ps2 library of games
