Though the strategy involved leans more towards City and Empire building than conquest, people looking for a deep experience will marvel at having to create a working economy before you send soldiers into the field. There is also a steep learning curve involved that is mostly intuitive. If you can get past those difficulties you will ultimately truly feel as though you've earned the title of Emperor.
