In an Intevrview with ThreeSpeech, Phil harrison shares his personal opinions on PS3 and Home.
Q: What about uploading porn from your PS3's hard-disk to your private space? And maybe inviting people you don't necessarily know back and them being slightly offended by what they see, then going to a moderator?
PH: Well I'm disappointed that you would use those as the first questions. I think Home should be used for a much wider and more beneficial scope than that, but I think that people can express their creativity inside Home in a wide variety of ways and it's not necessarily for us to dictate what that should be. However, if somebody feels uncomfortable about an encounter on Home, it's very easy for them to ban that person from their friends list…
Gary Green said: Namco Bandai heard the call of many fans asking for the PlayStation release of Tales of Graces which was originally released seemingly exclusively for the Wii back in 2009. If you’re acquainted with the Tales series then Graces f won’t be something entirely new to you, yet if you’re a newcomer then you’ll find a plethora of gameplay mechanics and nuances that distinguish this series from other JRPGs. While the game finds itself following the traditional archetype of JRPGs, such as a somewhat clichéd story, Graces has something to offer to both veterans and newcomers alike.
Huzaifah from eXputer: "Sleeping Dogs from the early 2010s is one of the best open-world games out there but in dire need of a resurgence."
You say "yet" as if it's even possible anymore. United Front Games is gone, along with anyone that made this game what it is
That’s what happens when games sell poorly. And I’ve seen people wonder why people cry when a game sells badly… this is your answer.
Sleeping Dogs was a sleeper hit back then. It was fantastic. It actually still is. Would love a sequel to this, or at least a revive of True Crime series.
Grasshopper Manufacture's Shadows of the Damned returns this year with a remaster, and Hardcore Gamer got to talk with Suda51 about it, among other things...
Gah - is it just me, or did Harrisons answer to the third question create a very awkward atmosphere between him and the interviewer(s) ?
Seriously, I could almost feel it from here ! :-s
But yeah, overall, interesting interview.

...
Ok first off...I found it funny that he didn't think this kind of question would be on the tip of many minds in terms of how this platform that is a game cosole... i.e. used by many kids of varying ages would not be asked right away.
Secondly I could not disagree more with Phil on his comment regarding the use of porn "...it’s not necessarily for us to dictate what that should be" Are you kidding me? People thought LIVE was a haven for sexual predators....well guess where the new home of the Pedaphil will be? I am sorry...but Sony really needs to lay some very CLEAR ground rules about use of porn, etc. otherwise we are going to see every Jack Thompson and Parent Group in the world come out against the PS3.
LOL...who knows maybe we will see a virtual episode of "To Catch a Predator" on NBC using HOME as their trap.
As for the rest of the interview...
Well it is clear that using HOME is not going to be a very user friendly experience for getting into games. I mean honestly...you start up the PS3, then go to HOME, then go to your virtual PSP to use shortcuts to get around to places...and presumable games. Just seems like a lot of jumping/loading other things to do a simple task that can be done from the dash. I am going to assume after the initial "excitement" of HOME's launch that most gamers will just use the dash screen. Home basically is going to be Sony's homebrew version of Second Life plain and simple.
the home of pervs. i mean even n4g have people with offensive avatars.
Excuse my childish ideas here for a second, but an evil grin just came across my face.
You know what would be cool, if you could like kick people in and smash up their apartments and stuff. Imagen that, you see some guy on there who was a camping noob in your last game of Vegas and you go up to him infront of all his mates and *SMACK* right in the face.
It would be cool if "HOME" had a virtual pub that people could go to and watch football matches and argue over women, so you could have massive virtual punchups in a fully digitaly distuctive bar! Wow!
I mean, if I was incharge of the home project I would turn the thing into a massive beat-em-up game where you could just go around doing all the naughty things you wouldn't get away with in Real Life.
But then again... there wouldn't be much point in buying GTA4 then would there.
