Game Informer: The Godfather II Review

This game shows how having control over a family can be a powerful experience. But as I dictated where a city's money was sent, I couldn't shake the feeling that this wasn't a Godfather game. Although many of the characters from the film are present (complete with actor likenesses), the vibe often reflects that of a teen gross-out comedy. The Godfather II seems to have more in common with Saints Row than the license it gets its name from.

Whoa a 5.5/10 from Game Informer and a 5/5 from GamePro I don't know if this is gonna be any good.

Seems mediocre so far. I love the movies, so I will give this a rent..... one day.

I don't know who to trust. Guess I'll rent it.

Jeez fellas, 5.5 it doesn't really match up with your scoring system it looks like a 6 or 7 to me. I have played this game inside and out, i have yet to see any glitches. now i admit i was left wanting more because it was to short, the online kinda sucks, and the three cities are a bit small. But this game runs good, the AI is competant, and controls are much improved from the first one, so 5.5 is a little to low for a game as fun as this

Videogames and the Oscars

gamrReview's Xavier Griffiths: "Movie tie-in games have a reputation for being notoriously bad and shoddy, doing both a disservice to the original film and videogames as a medium. More often than not the movies that get adapted into videogames are high octane, action-oriented summer blockbusters and the aim is simply to extract as much money from the market as possible. Realistically no one expects games based on trashy films such as Catwoman, The Cat in the Hat, or Eragon to be good in the first place, but what about games based on films that have garnered recognition for the highest award in cinema?"

reason why i buy no Ea games

lodossrage4812d ago

What the heck is wrong with EA. Some of those games aren't even two years old. Hardly even a year and a half some of them.

And they only JUST put that simpsons game on psn and xbl, and they're pulling the plug already?

Yeah I'm glad I got that as a PS plus game because I'd be pissed if I bought that

Dark_Overlord4812d ago

I think you may have got the wrong simpsons game, the one spoken about in the article is this one

Ok now I'm not too upset lol. Plus the one I meant isn't even made by EA lol

Thanks

EA need to change their business tactics, it's obvious they are bleeding money even with all the sports franchises they hold.
