Dragon's Lair Blu-ray

Odd as it may seem, Digital Leisure has released the laserdisc classic arcade game Dragon's Lair on Blu-ray. They put it out on HD DVD some time ago, but are just now coming around to Blu-ray. It's apparently a BD-J, or Blu-ray Disc Java, which is the way they get interactive content on Blu-ray, but still playable on DVD players. They say it's got lots of 'exciting special features'.

The official site doesn't have a site for the BD-J yet, but the game is 'coming soon,' according to the postard they sent out.

I remember playing this in the arcades when it first came out. It was a totally different type of game then anything before it. Put your quarter in and you had to react by pushing the joystick up,down, left or right to keep the game and the story going. It ultimately a memory and timing game. Talk about a way to eat up quarters! LOL

I later had this on disk format for the Amiga 500. It was a royal pain having to swap the disks. I might just pick this up just for nostalgia sake if its not to pricey.

I had a blast playing this game. The game's controls were simple and the timing was challenging enough that you comeback for more. Plus, because you really didn't need massive concentration and brainbusting skills to play it - you could enjoy the artwork that went into this interactive cartoon.

I don't have a HD-DVD player for my 360. Has anybody used the HD-DVD version on their 360 and is the extras just for the blu-ray?
