The game is fun for the hour you'll spend beating it. Just in that time alone, you should be able to collect over half of the items, but playing through the levels again to get the rest just seems unnecessarily repetitive. There's no online multiplayer and really no challenge at all to the game, except in mastering Soul Surge. The graphics may be some of the best yet on the Wii, but that's not enough to keep those casual Wii gamers interested. Hardcore Sonic lovers need only apply.

Actually I am in my 20's and have gone back and played many of the Sonic games made, personally I find a lot of the older games to be absolutely awful with a particular nod to the original Sonic the Hedgehog. I know a good game when I play it and the games on my list and ones that are truly great and the pinnacle of the Sonic experience.

1. Sonic Adventure
2. Sonic 2
3. Sonic and Knuckles
4. Sonic 3
5. Sonic the Hedgehog 1991
That's pretty much my list, only I'd put S&K and Sonic 3 at 1 and 2. And maybe drop Adventure for Sonic Chaos for GameGear/Master System, I had so much fun with that game.

Being a Sonic fan for a majority of my life, I’ve played nearly every Sonic game that’s ever existed. As such, I’ve played each game so many times that I’ve even began collecting them as of recently. Doing so, I’ve had the opportunity to play games I haven’t even looked at in several years.
