GAME praises Sony's console for having more functionality

GAME marketing director Anna Marcario has told GamesIndustry.biz that PlayStation 3 has more functionality than any other console on the market - a factor which is helping to create huge demand. i think mart not unlike many 360 people including myself are dissappointed. It's not a hatred really but we all love gaming and would love to have a good reason to buy a new piece of kit for the setup. I really dont care what happens i will still buy a PS3 in a year if blu-ray looks to stick around cause it really is a great movie player that i could play a couple exclusive games on. I am sort of hoping bluray does take off so I can buy one. We get reactionary when people bash the things we love and its a two way street we all travel down. Cant we all just agree to get along and hate each other at the same time?

I couldn't find any updated sites that had a direct comparison of just the features, but this one does a good job of listing the positives of the consoles. It is pretty much a novel, but it takes into account all of the things Microsoft and Sony have updated through their on-line/firmware updates since launch and it is probably the most neutral you will find. The majority of the other comparisons you will see are launch specification comparisons and those aren't really fair for any of the companies.

Edit: This is probabaly more of what you were looking for, but it has a few vague definitions that can only be caught by the keen reader and I am sure some would doubt its credibility. Nevertheless, it is the best technical comparison I could find. There is probabaly a better one out there.

Free online? Yes, but not in the same league as Live. No unified frinds list and chat channels, and Home is a joke as well.

Media support? Yes, but can you stream gigs of music, pictures, and video form your PC? No, you have to load it on the actual PS3.

Rumble? No

Guide button? Half-assed rip on 360

Motion control? again, half-assed rip on Wii

Power of the actual console? Almost equal to 360 at best.

Demand for a console at launch is almost always high. Just like in Japan and US, the PS3 will immediately slump after launch to the number 3 position.

Motion Control: Is a rip of a logitech idea from the 90's ya moron, get the info straight. The technology was free for anyone to use, Wii uses an infrared sensing bar, while PS3 and 360 use a built-in infrared sensor. learn computers and hardware before you let the shyt spew from your mouth.

Free Online: Yes free, you know the ability to play with friends for free, you know, no money...no $50 to $60 a year. Woo matchmaking, made possible by the game not the network....notice how Gears is peer to peer connectivity? Yeah didn't think so.

Rumble: none right now, but guess what $150.3 million dollar settlement and entering into a business partnership means what? yeah Forcefeed back, better than just rumble. Jacka$$.

Power of the Console: Hmmmm...yeah 3 3.2 cores in the 360, one 3.2 ghz core in PS3 with load bearing SPU's (8) to take strain from core and RSX chip. oh yeah the 360 is SO much better how could I have been so stupid, what a retard. Let's also factor in the Storage media for the 360, DVD9, oh wow your right 360 has this won hands down.

Let me tell you all something, I have both systems and on 360 the only good game I have seen is Gears in a years time. Thats not saying I havent played more. I have GRAW, Rainbow Six, Dead Rising, Final Fantasy XI, Saints Row, Smackdown vs Raw 07, Rumble Roses XX, Dead or Alive, PGR, and more, the point is the only one I play is Gears, how sad is that that the line up of games is defined only by one good one. Sure you can say Gay-lo 3 is going to be great, but the first 2 sucked ass. For the PS3 I have NBA2K7 (which looks better on PS3), Motorstorm (which is awesome and I play all the time), resistance:Fall of man (which gives Gears a run for its money), Virtua Fighter 5 (blows away DOA, and even Tekken 5)..

I want to say to all the 360 fans out there, don't ride the media hype train, jump off and play the PS3, you'll be pleasantly surprised...unless your theMart
