Windows 7 Will Do for 3G What XP Did for Wi-Fi

Windows 7 will do for 3G what Windows XP did for Wi-Fi, namely make it ubiquitous, Microsoft revealed at the International CTIA Wireless 2009, in Las Vegas, April 2, 2009. Robbie Bach, president of Microsoft's Entertainment &Devices Division, indicated that such a scenario would be made possible through the intimate integration of Windows 7 with netbook computers. The Redmond company already emphasized that the next iteration of the Windows client would be tailored to run on machines with limited hardware resources, featuring a small footprint and enhanced performance.

xp and wifi didn't really "do anything" together, they just evolved at the same time. plus 3g is slow compared to wifi. granted, if you subscribe, you can connect where there's a signal, but wireless n blows 3g speed out of the water.

Yeah 3G is an IP which means you can take your computer anywhere and be worry free of modems and routers all together.

What XP did for Wi-fi? Most hardware that lets the PC's to use wireless connection come with its own software...

Whoever wants a free windows gets it , albeit pirated ...

i'm happy to say that i only made the switch from xp to win 7 .... (along with linux and macs)
