Logitech G35 7.1 Surround Sound Headset Reviewed

Gameplayer has tested out the latest Logitech gaming headset and they have a detailed review up. They go as far to declare that it will improve your frag count.

"The left earpiece is the part of the headset you'll be interacting with most as it holds the fold-down microphone, as well as the G35's buttons. The microphone is easy to move, flexible and can be bent to move it closer or further away from your mouth. The microphone also does a great job of filtering out external noise and has a clear voice level set up by default."

Seems like a sham. I doubt they jammed 8 mini speakers into that thing to reproduce 7.1. And having 7.1 jammed into two confined spaces seems to defeat the logic behind 7.1 in the first place.

The USB thing is nice, but in the end your fooling yourself for what comes down to a basic head set.

(you can actaully get a 7.1 system for not much more than these headphones cost)

i went out today to see if they had a pair of these to try them out. no luck :/ id like to see how they are.

I was loiking at prices because I was interested in buying a 7.1 surround system but sony's ones were all over a 1000... This seems like a decent alternative to me.

PRICE? dose this work with PS3?

STONEY45866d ago (Edited 5866d ago )

It costs $129.99 in the US.

Logitech has stated the following about functionality with the PS3 or other consoles:

"The G35 is a USB headset that requires Dolby software to deliver 7.1 simulated Surround Sound. If you can load the software on a game console then they will work with it."

I'd buy this if there was someway to get the software on a console....not too optimistic.

Huge difference i must admit, but not sure i would notice without 2 screens next to each other.

Not getting this game still, i want a new game and im tired of remasters

Muigi2h ago(Edited 2h ago)

It’s $10 and there are plenty of games out there for you.

Flewid6381h ago

Remastered.....

You're forgetting 30fps to 60fps

Sony is now remastering games with 71s on metacritic.

Like that's a judge of anything
This game got scored before it was released.

andy852h ago

Days gone is 85+. It got heavily marked down at launch for bugs where as others get a free pass for that. It's a fantastic game.

andy852h ago

I spoiled myself by modding this game on my PC. Genuinely one of the best looking games I've ever seen. Whilst this remaster looks nice it just doesn't compare to that sadly. It shows the effort that these remasters could put in if they wanted

I so hope this game or DLC for those of us who own the original sells well.
Ive said it before, its an underrated game for sure & was unfairly judged upon release.
Please try this game if you haven't already.

For those who say 'i won't purchase digital only' you can pickup a hard copy for 5 bucks here in Australia, then add the DLC and you have a superb game for $20 or so.

Give it a shot, tell me I'm wrong After completing the game.

Game on gamers.

Review - Steel Seed (PC) | WayTooManyGames

WTMG's Kyle Nicol: "Steel Seed has everything that I love: explosive set pieces, stealth-focused gameplay and souls-like combat. Unfortunately, none of these elements work together here. Each part felt undercooked for an experience that I cannot recommend to anyone. Despite this, there’s a lot of potential there for something greater, and I hope we get to see a more focused game next."
