Boost Your PC Games Performance With Free 'Game Booster' Program

Designed to help optimize your PC for smoother, more responsive game play in the latest PC games with the touch of a button, Game Booster helps achieve the performance edge previously only available to highly technical enthusiasts. It works by temporarily shutting down background processes, cleaning RAM, and intensifying processor performance. That means you can keep all the features of Microsoft® Windows Vista® and XP® ready for when you need them, but turn them off when you are ready to get down to serious business – gaming.

I've tried this program myself and it works great. It's about time someone made this sort of thing for gamers.

I have the Iobit "advanced system care" program on my comp and it has this. It has a lot of good stuff to clean up your computer and make it run better.

Yup, I actually noticed up to 12% performance improvement. About 7% in average. This can vary depending on hardware and system cleanliness. Definetly worth to try.

Kakkoii3488d ago

Yeah there have been many programs and ways to do these things separately. It's nice to see a program that has those functions bundled into one.

Tempist3488d ago

Pah! Snake oil! I'm not taking the chance that this could shut down a critical process running on my comp. I'm just warning you all to be caucuious about his program.

As a side note, Nvidia users can use NTune to get their system and card working well and overclocked. And my computer is powerful enough to run Empire Total War max settings while GPU folding.

Kakkoii3487d ago

@Tempist: This program doesn't kill any processes that are running. It just set's the priority of the game your using to higher. And also flushes the RAM of junk data that's no longer needed, helping keep your game running smoothly.

To your Note: ATI's software comes with a built in Overclocker. But there's also AtiTrayTools which bring a ton more options to fool around with :P.

If your having a problem downloading it from the site use the second server, the Texas one. That link worked for me. It seems they are having some technical difficulties at this time.

i may not be a big pc gamer, but this might let me squeeze out a few extra frames on my laptop :)

And now I'm really pissed and really happy at the same time because I busted my balls getting that to work with my Intel, and than these buttheads go and make my life easy. Damn it! :)
