Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time announced

Sony's French PR have just sent out a press release revealing Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time. Crack in Time takes place shortly after Tools of Destruction and Quest for Booty, and will see Ratchet travelling through time to rescue Clank.

Been waiting for this one. I bought R&CF:ToD the day I bought my PS3. This will be a day 1 buy, no question.

Edit: Holy crap, I gotta start saving my pennies. Ghostbusters, FFVII:ACC (with demo, please), NGS2, Uncharted 2, GOWIII, all in 2009? I guess I'd better finish RE5 and Valkyria Chronicles so I can make some room in my schedule. :)

I thought the length of tools of destruction was fair but i wouldn't complain if there was more to do though. However it turns out they've got my loot. I didnt really feel the Q4B was all that though, maybe i was expecting too much, im not sure

I cant even believe how far there engine has come, Resistance's Nocturnal Engine is just amazing and it really show's in This new game it's powering...

First of all....not just good or great news,but Fantastic news!

I am not counting on MP,just dont see that happening.As for CO-op,it's something I would think could be a great additional "option" for those that want this feature.I am not sure how Co-op would alter the single player experience however.That coul;d be a road-block?

But with ratchet in search of Clank through time it appears he will be alone throughout the adventure,at least most of the time. So a full on co-op mode using both ratchet and Clank seems out of the question.However............ Ratchet and other sorted side-kicks he encounters in various areas could be a possibility? Certain characters created for specific areas to help Ratchet out through various areas and obstacles?

Anyways,this is a "day 1" for me....I think this will be even better in every department,and that says a lot...I hope for more puzzle solving,platforming,and open ended alternate route options,even more eye popping eye candy,and more new innovative weapons and gadgets,to go along with even more creative and stylish baddies...

R&C:ToD is absolutely fantastic. I've played through 3.5 times already. My favorite in the series (with Up Your Arsenal on PS2 being second). Q4B on the PSN is okay, but probably not worth the $15 in my opinion.

ToD is a great game, just a hell of a lot of fun.

QoB is a good game top but it is short but if you're a fan of R&C you'll enjoy it.

Also I think QoB is $9.99 atm on the US store and I think that price is well worth it for the 3-5 hours of gaming that you can enjoy over and over if you like.

This is how ND works. We will see a spin off of Uncharted at the end of the series much like CTR and Jak X, then a completely new IP for the PS4.

Normally I'd say I don't care about multiplayer in games like Ratchet & Clank but after playing Resistance 2 and seeing how addictive the competitive modes were, I want multiplayer in this one. I don't know if you ever played Deadlocked but it was really fun.

Insomniac should quit making FPS games and just stick to this Franchise. Its freaking Epic. Noone cares about Resistance. Its still in minor league when you compare it to games like Killzone 2, Modern Warfare 2, Operation Flashpoint 2, MAG, and Arma 2. Seriously Insomniac, just stick with platformers and you will see alot more success. Also, get the spyro license again and you will be set for life.

Im sorry, but Resistance 1 and 2 sucked. BTW, I forgot to put add Warhawk, Wolfenstein, Halo ODST, Section 8, Aliens Colonial marines, BBC2, and Borderlands, Also, unannounced games like Warhawk 2, Crytecks new game, and Battlefront 3 and much more, but I dont wanna waste any more time. Dont get me wrong, I love Insomniac, and they do know how to make shooters, but its just not their specialty. Plus the there is too much competition in the market for FPS games. im sorry DragonWarrior opinions are opinions , i respect yours but i differ from it at the same time , i play first person shooter games because of Resistance fall of man , it was my first fps game and i completely loved the story , i think its story is where the resistance series really shines , i have others fps (cod4,ut3 and killzone2) none of their stories have reached my interest as resistance have , sure cod4 and killzone2 are really great online games and i think killzone3 story will be amazing but till this day the Resistance story is the best i have played on a fps game , heck i even bought Resistance Retribution just to play the story and im glad Insomniac took the risk to come out with a new ip this generation , i really appreciated that as well as naughty dog and sucker punch , they could easily have made another ratchet , jack or sly game but no they opted for something new and i as a customer appreciated that , heck thats what i expect from sony everytime they launch a new system , NEW GAMES

in regards to this game being absolutely even more awesome with some sort of multiplayer coop option. One person could control Ratchet and another could control either Clank or that girl (can't remember her name right now or what her role was, hehe). That would be completely awesome! However, Insomniac, please, please, please don't just make it online co-op like everyone else in the game development is doing. Give a split-screen option as well. There are so many incredible PS3 games that I never can show off to my non-PS3 owning friends because there is no splitscreen option. Who agrees?

Don't care what they do as long as the SP is up to stadard-with something added as what they already have is pretty perfect but just something to freshen it up after 6 games.

I really can't say for sure but, i would have to assume it will be a full game. You have to consider a few things:

1. They already released 1 DLC R&C why would they release 2 in a row?
2. Considering the thrend that they have going with their game releases, it only makes sense that a Full game will come out.

Until when I bought PSP there was R&C Free with it. I tried it, I always though its just a lame kiddie game. I ended up loving it. I played it more then Crisis Core and Tekken 5 on PSP I think.

Then I tried the demo of R&C on PS3. I loved it. I ended up buying it from play.com cheap. I ended up addict to it. Weapons are so fun! The graphics are like a pixar movie coming to life! Funny game, FUN. I LOVE IT. I wish that I could buy Quest for Booty but there is no PS Store where I live. I ended up Addict to R&C. If ToD had trophies I would have platinum, even though I hate trophies, because its so damn fun and i passed it I don't know how many times, getting all Weapons upgraded, Max Armor, Titan Bolts etc.

I need to go ahead and buy R&CF:TOD and beat it, but I don't have all of the trophies for R2 yet, and after I get all of those, I have to play back through R:FOM on harder difficulty, and then beat Uncharted, and try to unlock more content in LittleBigPlanet, and play Q4B, and, and-- AUGH!
