PS3-Sense.nl writes "At the moment there are few party games on the PlayStation 3. We have exclusive party games like Buzz and SingStar, but keep it more so. But first, are gradually becoming more party games appear on the PlayStation 3. Recently Worms yet announced for the PSN and Squeeballs today announced at the GDC."

Gaming Nexus writes: "The Wii's primary audience consists of young children, baby boomers and senior citizens-fact. Very few people in this audience have ever played a video game before the Wii, or realize that the scope of gaming goes beyond Pac-Man and Mario Brothers-fact. The casual audience's general ignorance of gaming and what it can be allows publishers to sell loads of derivative shovelware on the Wii, taking the old copy-paste approach to Nintendo's party games and a few of the other top-tier family titles. As a result, quality software on the Wii, in any category, has been scarce. I don't like it, you probably don't like it, but those are the facts, and as John Adams said, facts are stubborn things."
Game Revolution writes: "Squeeballs are cute, little critters locked in toy store packaging. They have violent tendencies. They have a catchy theme song. They bounce. And you are a toy tester, making sure they are ready for sale. You're supposed to like squeeballs. You're supposed to want to play with them. But they make it hard. You want to throw them as far as you can. Or hit them. Or knock them over with a bowling ball."

this is a nice move for Sony to chip into the Wii party game market.
To be fair I think Sony were always in the casual market, they sort of got the trend going, i just dont think they market it well enough.
But Im glad to see them getting more of these titles.. they're definitely making their PS3/ PSP a more rounded gaming experience.
