Good to see some new improvements are coming to the service :)

Sounds to me like it is just a bunch of new DRM being implemented.

Sounds to me like they're just trying to catch up to Steam, which has had zero-day piracy protection for years and Steam Cloud for months.

worthless. how about some real improvements like making the 360 controller or the use of a gamepad standard in all games that wish to receive the Games For Windows label.

its ridiculous having to play games with a damn keyboard

or maybe removing all that GamerTag Logging in BS. all this crap just makes me not wana buy PC games at all so i just get them on my PS3 instead

@ 1.3:

Force PC gamers to use a pad? That's one of the dumbest things I have ever heard. One of the primary reasons PC Gamers choose to buy something for the PC is to use the control method, along with the diversity of using any control scheme available on consoles. That feature alone would kill the entire GfW initiative, and Microsoft is already doing a pretty good job of it.

You know you need to use a GamerTag-like PlayStation Network account to play online on the PS3 too, right...

Hopefully this one doesn't brick any more 360's.

... on another topic...

I was hoping that my new car radio does not damage my car transmission...

Yes... it's that obvious... Games for "Windows" had nothing to do with Xbox 360...

bahh... nevermind... it's obvious that you Sony leg humpers are too stupid to tell... otherwise why would you have people like cronaldo7 celebrating your level of ignorance.

thats good i guess !

im more interested in the volume level he spoke at than windows live though.

Great , except no ones want or needs "game for windows" .

"– LIVE community has seen staggering growth thanks in part to the launch of a more PC-friendly interface last November, and the addition of some of the year’s biggest and best Windows games, including #1 best-sellers “Grand Theft Auto IV,” “Fallout 3” and “Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II.”

The only true part in there is that people wanted these games , and often couldnt without getting GFL forced down their throat in the package ...

I guess steam is the only saviour and alternative out there ... besides the easy way out , piracy

peeps4467d ago

yep true. if pc gamers want to play those 3 games listed they're forced to use windows live. Guess if we're gonna see mroe games using it, it's good news that it's going to be improved.

Do you have to pay btw? I don't know cus i have my live account from the 360 so obv use that.

Tony P4467d ago (Edited 4467d ago )

Pay to access GFWL? Heck no. That's only on 360. PC gamer don't play that.

peeps4467d ago

SupaPlaya4467d ago

twice, as I have both articles opened and thought it didn't go through the first time.

Yes it's unrelated to the new features. :)
