RPGSite Final Fantasy: Echoes of Time Review

It surprised Wii owners to have Square Enix announce that a Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles game would finally be landing on their system – but it'd be a port of a DS game. Those waiting for the full-version, big-screen game have still got a while to wait, though Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles – Echoes of Time should do something to alleviate their pain.

The RPG specialists over at RPGSite give their verdict on just how good of a remedy this will be to Wii owners in need of a severe dose of Final Fantasy.

Is a shame about the identical graphics, but looking good.

Yer, it would have been cool with upgraded graphics on the Wii but because it's made for cross platform online play that could lead to some seriosu mess ups.

Anyway I can't wait for this game. But samnit Square! why release Echoes of Time on the 27th and then Disgaea DS and Valkyrie Profile on the 3rd(same day the DSi's out as well!)?

Argh, Deciding between this and Rune Factory and can't really choose which one I would rather go with more. I liked Crystal Chronicles for the Gamecube and have yet to try Rings of Fate, but yet the appeal given off from Rune Factory can't be ignored either.

Dammit >.< so hard to choose with limited funds for now.

Multitap | The impractical world of 4-player portables

Graham Russell: "Generally, when you’re looking to play a game with friends, it’s much easier to do it on a home console. With portables, each player usually needs a system, and most need a copy of the game (and maybe some funky cables, if you go back enough). Generally, people haven’t bothered to take advantage of the technology. Of course, if you’re a crazy person like me, that’s more of an incentive than a barrier."

What Heroes of Ruin can learn from FFCC:Echoes of Time

Gaming Gauge writes:"It’s not a secret that I’m a massive fan of Square Enix’s Crystal Chronicles series, and oddly enough it was the second DS entry, Echoes of Time, that really cemented the series as one of my favourites. This was because it took the addictive multiplayer action online and really concentrated on making the experience natural and easy. There unfortunately hasn’t been a new entry in that style since then(fingers crossed there’s a new one at E3) but I was very excited when I heard that Square Enix was working with n-space on a new online dungeon crawling, hacking and slashing adventure for the 3DS; finally something to satisfy my hunger! My thought immediately went to how Square Enix should concentrate on this ease of use again and what lessons they should take away from Echoes of Time."
