Retail giant Best Buy has listed Halo 3 as being released on November 16, 2006 for the Xbox 360. Yeah. That's this holiday. Right before Black Friday. Say, that just also happens to be one day before the North American release of the PlayStation 3! How 'bout that.
Not every Halo game has been a banger, but the franchise still has a raft of the greatest games of all time.
Infinite is a dumpster fire and as much as I like ODST, in no universe it ranks above Halo 2. This list is trash.
Best to worst: Halo 3, Halo 2, Halo Reach, Halo CE, Halo 4, Halo ODST, Halo Infinite, Halo 5.

Bonus Kinect Games: Happy Action Theater and Sesame Street.
*Skyrim was so bad on PS3 that it almost deserves to be #1*

Would love to play Ace Combat6 on PlayStation, but Xbox decided to buy exclusivity and keep it off a competing platform.
The only mainline game I never played except for one level at a friends place. Game sold less than any other in the series if I remember correctly.
360 had Namco hitters AC6 and RR6... both quality titles. You should at least bust out the 360 for AC6 if you can score the flight stick. Its great.
When the current gen XBOX offering is so lacking people need to refer to games released two generations back....
It's a nostalgia peice same reason we get thousands of YouTube videos on sega genisis. Something people have fond memories for but the era is long gone.
It's xboxs golden year imo it was their genisis years the time where they stuck it to the market leaders Sony.
They stuck nothing. Sony screwed themselves giving Xbox an opening. They would have gotten the usual smack down if the PS3 had launched at $399 and was easier to develop for.
The Xbox 360 launched in North America 18 years ago, and is now officially old enough to buy you a drink in Europe.
Great platform, and many of its games (not bc) still hold up well to this day. Like the PS3, I keep a 360 hooked up for those games you can't play any other way.
The last gasp of greatness from XBox, you are missed, except the RROD that was lame, but amazing exclusives until the Kinect dropped.

H3 willnot come out before 2007. Gears will be on top for at leastr a year. I do not really expect to even see a PS3 on store shelves untill 2007 either. But we will soon see.
If Bungie believes people will bye HALO 3 and ignore bying the PS3 they are making a huge misstake, HALO isn't that popular in Europe and absolutely not popular in Japan, I'm from Europe so I know, If HALO 3 releases in 16 November, PlayStation 3 will sell out those 2 000 000 consoles availbe for the US launch, so it will not make a difference, you will still have tp pre-order to get a PS3, because there are so manny that wants it!

Earliest Halo 3 will come out i reckon will be Q3 2007.
PS3 launch however i do not believe will happen this 2006. They must start manufacturing at August latest, just when 360 started production. However, most of problems had been solved by Microsoft by late May, all except the finalized graphics chip in mid-july allowing manufacturing to begin. PS3 on the other hand has many unfinished BIG issues like keeping it cool, fitting it in a damn PS3 case!
Stabilising the cell to run at a suitable clockspeed, avoiding system bottlenecks, sorting out their online service. It is pathetic how Sony has all these issues so late till the deadline; but i supposed you can't really trust a Sony deadline.
All this would be OK if they weren't pushing for a worldwide release. But they are and even worse, including Australia, so expect two things from Sony this year.
1. Laughable shortages (way worse than 360 shortages.

2. A delayed worldwide launch till Feb 2007. I bet i am right.
Halo 3 will probably be released Q1 2007. And as far as the PS3 being launched around Novemeber wordlwide, well that will be pretty much on paper becasue they cant afford to delay it again. I can't imagine the lengths you would have to go to to actually get a one on launch. I Spent 19 hours outside of bestbuy to get my 360 on launch after having got a preorder in march with gamestop which they couldent fulfill. So I am very pleased that i have no interest in the PS3 whatsoever.
