That is why the API's have to change first. Intel is making its own new API for Larrabee. Intel is going with a smart API. Its sayed that it will emulate DirectX and Open GL as well as its own methods. Amazing. Microsoft's DirectX 11 API is also going to spread some love to this idea of GP-GPUs as well. NVIDIA is still playing with its CUDA Architecture.
