GamePro: Air Conflicts: Aces of WW II Preview

With each new release of a flight simulator, GamePro always crosses their fingers and hope for the best. The best being insane amounts of aerial action in the form of dog fights, sexy maneuvers, and a never-ending selection of planes to choose from. In receiving a build of Air Conflicts: Aces of World War II, their expectations were high and they were more than ready to take their frustrations out in the sky.

Gamepyre writes: "Are you thinking what I'm thinking? Well, what I'm thinking is 'yeah, right; a flying game on the PSP. I just don't see how this is going to work right'.

As you can see, even someone like me who has to be unbiased when it comes to video games, could not help but take sides into the flying genre on the PSP. Air Conflicts - Aces of World War II is the 2nd flight game to be released on the PSP (that I am aware of)."

GT writes: "Air Conflict: Aces of World War II has earned a few distinctions in the annals of PSP gaming. The first is that it's the first straight PC to PSP game port I've ever played, and I imagine the first to appear on the system. Unfortunately, the developers didn't bother to compensate for the difference in screen size between the typical PC monitor and the PSP's screen."

BuzzFocus: Air Conflicts: Aces of World War II Review

Air Conflicts is a fun game when it comes to dogfighting. Just understand that it's not your eyesight that's bad, it's the size of the targets on the tiny PSP screen. Bombing missions are incredibly difficult and missions could benefit from added variety.
