Jaffe Wants Djimon Hounsou As Kratos

David Jaffe doesn't just have a script in his hands for a God of War movie, he's got his eye on a potential leading man. And it's...not who you think. Unless you guessed. And man would this be a random guess. When asked by Entertainment Weekly who he's considering, Jaffe shot back:

Djimon Hounsou as Kratos. Absolutely. You have to get past the fact that Kratos is Greek, but in terms of the way he looks and his acting ability and his physique -- I can't think of a better choice.

One look at him in Gladiator should convince the doubters!!!

I liked his role in gladiator, but I was under the impression that Kratos was white. Isn't he? I have nothing against him making the movie but, isn't the same if they make a Metal Gear movie and they pick a latin to do the role?

Umm not really. He appears white because of the ash of I would spoil it. But it's ash. I think this guy would be great. I always thought an African-American would fit the part.

They will never find the right person to be Solid Snake. His face and voice have been the same for about 8 years now, any actor will only seem a cheap immitation. The only next-best thing they could do is get someone who looks similar and let David Hayter(voice of Snake) do a voice over.

Well makeup is amazing. Look at the dude from "300". He looks nothing like that in real life. They made him super ripped and tall in the movie. In real life the dudes like scrawny. If they can do that im sure they can lessen this guys skin pigmantation a bit. But they did pick the Darkest guy in the world to play a character who is pratically Pale. Ironic no?

LMAO @ THE GUYS BELOW.... Sorry...ahahah wow.. I seem to have upset you alot. Im not a fan of his. its just when I compare his

Red carpet photo's to the way he looked in the movie they appeared extremely different. Granted I was looking at dated photo's. lol

Vojkan: You ask me how old I am but if you took a second to think instead of "rant typing" you would of realized you stated why I came up with the conclusion I did.

"But he also admit that the moment he finished the movie he stopped with training, that is why he maybe seemed "smaller" to you if you saw him recently."

..... Next time dont rant..."Adult" ; )

Munky : Wow thats awesome. I sure hope you can quote the last thing your girlfriend said to you that good or else you might want to lay off the PC and The Television just a bit. thanks for the info anyway budd.

You comment is ridiculous! You are talking about some serious stuff without any proof to confirm it! Butler(main actor in 300) is tall man. He is 6' 2" (1.88 m) tall. He trained 6 hours a day to be that ripped with two personal trainers so its not makeup kid. But he also admit that the moment he finished the movie he stopped with training, that is why he maybe seemed "smaller" to you if you saw him recently.

When it comes to KRATOS he is white. Like David Jaffe said "He is Greek" So if he is from Greece he can only be white, not African or something else. Yes voice of the Kratos in game is done by black guy but still that doesn't change the fact that Kratos is white or is supposed to be. I don't mind this guy being Kratos, movie will flop anyway but don't go around telling BS, that is insulting and disrespectful to not only Greece and their mythology and culture but to all Europe and white population.

“I started training about four months before the film, maybe even longer than that. I started in LA and we had the trainer from the film Mark Twight, so I was training with him and he has a very particular style of training, but I also kept my own trainer so I was training with two guys every day - so that was about four hours of that. (Laughing) Yeah, I kind of overdid it. Then I also, on top of that, had to go into the valley in LA and do two hours of sword fighting and shield and spear work as well, because a lot of guys use swords but it’s actually learning to use a spear is a whole different thing. And starting to work on some of the maneuvers so I was doing that six hours a day, every day."

So the reason the guy looked ripped, was because he was ripped. Not because "they made him look that way".

And it took maybe all of a minute to find and paste the qoute. Try it out, it might help to actually know something about a topic before you make a comment about it ;). Peaz
