"On the eve of Resident Evil 5, I'll ask you to remember RE4. The game was released in February a few years back, which could have knocked it out of the running for Game of the Year. Thankfuly, the game was good enough that the powers-that-be remembered its impact the following December, when the awards were given out. I have a feeling that Killzone 2 will repeat the RE4 fluke. The game is simply stunning. It looks great, it sounds great, it plays great and finally, FINALLY, I feel like this console generation has lived up to the promises of more immersive and better looking games. The game has a few issues, so I can't give it a perfect score, but it's as good or better than any other shooter I've ever played, and I've played A LOT of shooters. If you don't already have it, go buy Killzone 2 today. If you don't have a PS3, go buy one and this game today. No one should skip this game (with the exception of the under 18 crowd… lotsa blood and swears) and after only about 10 minutes, you'll know why. It'll be awhile before any game manages to match this one, and it makes previous "next-gen" shooters look like $.99 iPhone games. If you've enjoyed shooting a gun in a video game, I implore you give Killzone 2 a whirl. I couldn't believe it, you won't be able to believe it and theres a good chance that this disc will take up a semi-permanent residence in your PS3. Games like Killzone 2 don't come down the pike very often, but when they do it is your duty as a gamer to purchase, play and love them. When it comes to action and/or shooting, nothing else even comes close."
