This week three huge players in the video game sales industry announced plans to enter the used game market. Best Buy, Amazon, and Toy's R Us all announced that they will begin selling used games.
One has to wonder the impact the announcements will have on game publishers and developers. GameStop and other stores like it have long been the target of attacks by publishers. This is mainly due to reports that continually get worse regarding used games sales cutting into new game sales. Based on past history it is safe to assume that the announcements may meet tough opposition at the hands of game publishers and developers.
