There are exceptions where it doesn't make sense of course, but the art of great multiplayer design has advanced to far for people to consider it a gimmick or optional.

The new Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena would seem like the perfect candidate for the multiplayer treatment. When the original Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay came out back in 2004, Xbox Live was yet to mature out of its unproven phase, so that fact combined with the game's focus on solitary stealth action proved that multiplayer didn't exactly make sense to incorporate."

that was the worst article i ever read Spelling wise. It seemed more of a blog but seemed professional enough..

Kinda bummed out that the deathmatch has only 8 player cap. they should have done 16 there. I mean COD4 has 16 player.. and they can limit the players on the PITCH BLACK which seems pretty sweet. Hate to be the noob controlling Riddick.. but once you get good it would be awsome. I know in L4D being tank at first is easy to die even with uber health but then when you get good you can take 2 or 3 survivors out easily but stuff does happen. Getting lit on fire sucks :-(
