Well what an interesting question. I researched this for you and found out that bio is short for biography. Futher research into the term biography came up with this definition: A person's life story, especially one published. It seems this section (the bio section) is for telling people about yourself.......go figure.

Not that I'm complaining, but why is it when ever there is an article about gay game players the pictures for the articles is always two girls making out? It seems like everyone still falls for the "Two guys together is sick, but two chicks together is hot." Again I like seeing two chicks making out as much as anyone else, I just think it's odd that there's a double standard when it comes to the issue of gay people.

edit: To those that disagree, I'm not saying that the contributor should've used two guys, I just think it's funny how gay people always b1tch about their rights being violated yet the first thing done to get people interested in the story is show a picture of two girls making out. Why not just leave your sexual orientation out of gaming? I don't care what you choose to have sex with but don't throw it in my face. I don't see people scrambling to put hetrosexual in their bio so why are gays so quick to do it?

If you don't want to be singled out then don't give people ammunition. For some reason they feel compelled that they have to mention it.

I do see what your getting at DJ but the ToS does limit what you can say and have on your bio. You are playing on MS's service and they make the rules as stated in the agreement.

Keeping sexual orientation off your bio was supposed to curve this type of situation...

I think some people place too much emphasis on their sexual orientation and forget it's about gaming. They should just remove Bios if people can't understand the TOU and seemingly struggle to follow it.

In all fairness, though... why people go the extra mile to hate on gays/lesbians and send mass reports is also pretty harsh, coming from the Live Community. It shows there is next to no civility..

I knew this would happen. I knew that eventual gaming would become so mainstream that the gay community would use it to promote that victim image they try so hard to convey to the world.

Xbox Live has been around since 2002, and was updated when the 360 came in 2005. Just now this "gay" thing is an issue, because a couple of people get banned for not following the code of conduct. If you are not allowed to write the word "gay" in your motto, then don't write "g4y".

If you are just a little bit smart you should understand that.
It's so typical when one gaming site writes a story about a person getting banned because of this, the "whole internet" jumps on it like it's the biggest thing since WWII.
Just behave normally and you won't get banned from Live. It's as easy as that. I've never had an urge to express me being hetero, and I never will, and I don't see the point of me pointing that out in my profile on Live.
