According to blog posts by two Mozilla developers, the development team is planning to bring tab syncing to its Fennec mobile Web browser. As part of Mozilla's Weave syncing initiative, tab syncing will allow users to sync open tabs on the desktop version of Firefox with Fennec mobile.
Brad Lassey explains the concept, which is already functional for the development team, in his blog post.
For example, if a user searches the web for a new restaurant, finds one, and leaves the house, he or she currently has no easy way to retrieve the data that was just researched. Fennec's new feature allows a user to see a list of tabs open on his or her home desktop. Call up the tab with the restaurant's information, and a user is instantly looking at the same content as his or her home PC.
