Square-Enix Releases Awful Final Fantasy XIII Merchandise

FinalFantasy-XIII.net: Following their release of the Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Versus XIII Posters at last years TGS, Square-Enix have released some new FFXIII merchandise. This time, these products are available to the public in the online Square-Enix Store.

It's not awful but i definitely wouldn't spend more than a couple dollars on it.

-on second thought they are pretty bad, doesn't look like any thought wen't into making these things at all. Square can definitely do better than this.

They should've asked for a bailout since they are throwing out more titles each year but selling less of each. Just ask from Microsoft more money since Sony has 21 first party companies to pay for and wouldn't throw themselves on the floor at the expense of their own companies.

You can look at my past comments I do own shares in Square Enix and an angry investor, but not as angry as the people that bought General Motors and Citigroup shares.

I'll tell you the problem with the scientific power that you're using here: it didn't require any discipline to attain it. You read what others had done and you took the next step. You didn't earn the knowledge for yourselves, so you don't take any responsibility... for it. You stood on the shoulders of geniuses to accomplish something as fast as you could and before you even knew what you had you patented it and packaged it and slapped it on a plastic lunchbox, and now you're selling it, you want to sell it!

FFVII had awesome action figures and merchandise that people would actually buy...

This stuff is being released too soon first of all...since no one knows anything solid about the cast or even the game...

Second, this is not gonna be the next FFVII by any means...so merchandise will not sell...I can almost guarantee that.

It sucks that FFVII always has to come up when SE does something...but it's just the sad truth...we will never get a game as good as FFVII ever again.

Yup, that merchandise is stupid but not as bad as half the High School Musical and The Dark Knight merchandise on the interwebs.

I might buy some, how much are they though? Just for a laugh like how I might buy a Batman bobblehead.

@^: I kind of agree, it is their best ever game and is unlikely to be surpassed which does put off a lot of people when they release new games simply because it's not FFVII and I doubt they could ever top it.

i shoulda bought some of the old FF7 action figures when they were on sale at a shop in 2000 i was like na what am i gonna do with them but now that i look back i do want them

Wow, it's just one stupid disappointment after another with Square-Enix, isn't it?

I hope they go bankrupt or bought out by Namco Bandai.
